A fully funded two-year programme where students design, build, and launch a real satellite into space, in partnership with the University of Auckland and backed by the government's Aerospace Fund.

Mercer Airfield · March 2026
Students spent a weekend at Mercer Airfield stripping a twin-engine Beechcraft Duchess for parts, working under a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer alongside secondary and university students.

9 Auckland schools · Term 3 2025
Teams from nine Auckland schools design and fly a balsa wood aircraft built entirely from donated parts. The competition is run by the Royal Aero Society, with a cash prize on the line.

The Savannah Build
Rosmini College · 2021–2025
Fifty students across five years built an ICP Savannah microlight from a kitset: 6,000 rivets, 600 hours, and one completed aircraft.
